Mentorship

The HRPSB Mentorship Program will facilitate a relationship in which experienced HR mentors from the public service, private sector and faith-based organizations (FBOs) share knowledge and experiences with mentees working in all sectors towards a mutually beneficial professional development relationship.

The recommended period for this program will be a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) sessions between the mentor and the mentee over a period of seven to ten weeks, with at least one session per week. The weekly sessions will allow the mentee to work on assignments that will help him to put knowledge into practice. Each session should last at least two hours.

HR Audit Unit

An HR Audit is an independent and objective report on the state of HR management processes and therefore indicate the organizational stability and sustainability from an HR perspective.

The Value of an HR Audit

It creates a renewed focus on consistency and standardization and provides HR Professionals with a robust, risk-based framework to ensure an integrated, aligned and well-governed approach to auditing the National HR Standards. It ensures that HR controls quality and consistency in accordance with the spirit of good governance as documented in King IV.

Audits can improve a company’s efficiency and profitability by helping the management better understand their own HR systems. Management can be assured of the readiness of their HR Departments to support the business strategy.

Investors, funders, shareholder, suppliers and financial auditors, are also assured that the human capital risks in their organizations are understood and effective systems (controls) are in place to manage them.
